The fight starts here! Basic cancer research is the foundation for clinical research and cancer treatment. From nanoparticles and stem cells to antioxidants and drug discovery, Kansas State University researchers are unraveling the complexities of cancer and training the next generation of scientists and medical workers. The Johnson Cancer Center’s multi-disciplinary faculty researchers and students, Advisory Council, and generous donors, make it possible for the center to further the understanding of cancers by funding basic cancer research, and supporting higher education, training, and public outreach.
Nearly 70 affiliated researchers are unraveling the mysteries and complexities of cancer.
Our student awards and training opportunities help turn out some of tomorrow’s top cancer researchers.
We strive to inform the public about cancer, risk reduction, and cancer research at K-State.
